Before giving us the lowdown on her favourite supper spots, actress Janice Koh points out that she's not "a supper person".
"All my supper places are effectually the theatres where I work or sentry shows. And because I'm not a supper person, I always choose a place where at that place'due south some booze. I always demand a drink after the show," she said with a laugh.
Janice describes herself as a "functional eater", someone who would go to a bak kut teh (pork bone soup) articulation and eschew the bak kut teh. "I'll club the sides like the white cabbage, peanuts and tau kee (soymilk skins) because I don't really eat pork."
Still, she has some smashing afterward-hours food-and-beverage tips, particularly if you're heading out with a group of vino-loving friends.

EMPRESS
"I like that Empress has a nice pick of fairly affordable New Globe wines past the glass. I also like that they have dim sum as function of their bar menu because I try to avoid supper, so pocket-sized bites are not bad for me.
What I especially love is that they have ever some plant-based options like the Impossible gyoza because I don't eat a lot of meat. They have indoor and outdoor seating by the river – it's a nice, quiet place to arctic later on a show."

FEI FEI WAN TAN MEE
"This is the just non-wine place on my list and information technology's because my good friend Tan Kheng Hua lives in the area. She's the only ane I really go out to consume supper with. I've been eating [these noodles] since I was a child.
I used to go with my extended family back when it was a back aisle joint in Jalan Manggis. The table we ate on was literally a door, and we sat on stools. For me, it'south ane of those [places to satisfy a midnight craving]. The chilli is the nearly important thing. Information technology brings back memories of what I loved about eating there as a kid."

GINETT
"When I'k at the Drama Centre or Lasalle, I get to Ginett since it'southward within walking altitude. When information technology'southward available, nosotros order the metre-long board of cheese, cold cuts and pate that sometimes comes with a bottle of wine, which is cracking for a grouping or a hired cast of iv. THE OYSTER Depository financial institution
"The Oyster Bank opens fairly belatedly compared to the other places in Funan, where [theatre visitor] Wild Rice is located. I come here considering they accept dandy deals like S$2 oysters with your drink or a canteen of Prosecco with a platter of oysters, which is great for sharing. I like to society the Due south$2 naked oysters and the amaebi karaage [deep-fried sugariness shrimp], which was a recommendation from one of the staff there that I haven't stopped ordering since. The spicy salmon tartar and truffle fries are e'er prissy besides. The people hither are really friendly and they do a happy hr deal pre- or postal service-show."

WINE CONNECTION TAPAS BAR & Chophouse
"When I'grand at Singapore Repertory Theatre or 72-thirteen [Theatreworks], my get-to spot is e'er Vino Connectedness because they have a Fat Bastard Pinot Noir, which is my favourite bottle. They have lots of well-priced wines and lots of piece of cake-to-consume cheese and cold-cut platters, and pizzas for sharing. I usually come here when nosotros are in a large grouping bandage or when I'm watching a play with friends. If y'all book in advance, information technology'due south a great place for an affordable supper with lots of friends."
